  • Cabinet dryer: Batch production, suitable for small-scale or multi-product plants.

  • Pet food: Dog food, cat food, ornamental fish food – low‑temperature slow drying maintains color and flavor.

  • Livestock & poultry feed: Piglet feed, grower/finisher pig feed, poultry pellet drying – prevents mycotoxin growth.

  • Specialty feeds: Fur animal feed, laboratory animal feed, fermented soybean meal drying.

4. How to Choose the Right Feed Dryer?

  1. Based on capacity

    • Small: few hundred kg/h → cabinet or small belt dryer.

    • Medium: 1–5 t/h → belt or fluid bed dryer.

    • Large: >5 t/h → multi‑layer belt or rotary drum dryer.

  2. Based on material characteristics

    • Pellet diameter 2–12mm, uniform moisture → belt dryer.

    • Fine powder or fragile particles → fluid bed dryer.

    • Heat‑tolerant, large particles, less breakage concern → rotary drum dryer.

  3. Based on heat source

    • Natural gas/biomass hot air generator, steam heat exchanger, electric heating – choose according to local energy cost.

  3. Moisture exhaust system: Check exhaust fan and dampers for proper operation.

  4. Bearings and transmission: Regular lubrication, check chain and belt tension.

  5. Insulation and seals: Repair damaged insulation, replace aged seals to reduce heat loss.
