Feed Dryer

A dryer is a core piece of equipment in modern industrial feed production. Its primary function is to rapidly dehydrate high-temperature, high-humidity feed after pelleting and puffing. By reducing the moisture content of feed from 15%-18% after processing to the safety standard of 12%-13%, it effectively addresses the problem of feed mold during storage and ensures feed quality and safety.

Main Features:

1. The machine features a novel design, compact structure, small footprint, and high production efficiency.

2. It is reliable, durable, has a low failure rate, and is easy to operate and maintain.

3. It is easy to use, with smooth transmission and low noise.

4. Key components (such as the lift plate and main shaft) are made of wear-resistant special alloy materials and undergo heat treatment, resulting in a long service life and low feed production costs.

5. The hot air drying process utilizes indirect or direct heating, offering high thermal efficiency and precise temperature control. The heat source (steam, gas, fuel oil, etc.) can be flexibly selected based on the material characteristics.

6. The unique lift plate structure inside the dryer provides powerful lifting and dispersing functions, creating a uniform curtain of material within the dryer. This ensures full contact with the hot air, facilitating rapid water evaporation and achieving uniform and stable drying results.

7. The modular design of the hot air distribution system allows for easy adjustment, ensuring uniform temperature across the entire cross-section of the dryer and preventing burning of the material.

8. Optional automatic temperature control and moisture detection systems. Sensors connected to the main control system precisely control the final product moisture content by adjusting the hot air temperature and feed rate (enabling precise drying and effectively preventing overheating).

9. The transmission system features an independent drive unit that connects quickly and easily to the main unit. The continuously variable speed motor allows for easy adjustment of the drum speed, allowing for customized control of the material’s residence time within the machine, ensuring the desired moisture content and producing products with varying drying requirements.

10. Suitable for drying a variety of feed ingredients (such as soybean meal, bran, distiller’s grains (DDGS), feather meal, etc.), without the need for additional additives, allowing for long-term, safe storage and maintaining nutritional content.

11. Suitable for processing granular and powdered materials of varying particle sizes (drum dimensions can be customized as needed).

12. The main unit base features a monolithic structure with pre-configured interfaces for the subsequent addition of dust removal, cooling, and other auxiliary equipment.

13. This series of equipment is particularly suitable for large feed mills, specialized raw material processing plants, or small and medium-sized farms.

14. Dual-purpose drying and cooling. Medium and large-scale equipment can integrate a cooling section, achieving integrated drying and cooling capabilities, all with continuous operation capabilities.

Main Components

The drum body: This is the primary component of the dryer. Parameters that characterize its structure include diameter, length, inclination angle, lifter type, and number. The drum’s aspect ratio and the drum’s thermal insulation performance have a decisive impact on the dryer’s efficiency and production capacity.

The lifter (lifter): This is a key component that lifts and disperses the material within the drum. It significantly influences material distribution, contact area with the hot air, drying speed, and final product uniformity.

The roller support system: This primarily consists of rollers, rollers, bearings, retaining wheels, and a base, ensuring smooth drum operation.
The hot air system: This primarily consists of a heater (or hot air furnace), fan, air duct, dust collector, dehumidifier, and valves.
