Large-scale wood pellet machine ring dies have been exported to Vietnam in bulk, supporting the transition to clean energy.
A machinery manufacturing company in Jiangsu, China, recently successfully delivered 20 sets of high-strength alloy ring dies, core components of large-scale wood pellet machines, to Haiphong City, Vietnam. These ring dies will be used in Vietnam’s new biomass pellet fuel production line, marking a significant breakthrough for China’s high-end biomass energy equipment in the Southeast Asian market.
The exported ring dies have a diameter of 800 mm and are precision-cast from special alloy steel. They undergo deep carburizing and vacuum heat treatment to achieve a hardness exceeding HRC60. Their innovative die hole design significantly reduces energy consumption and improves sawdust forming efficiency. The service life of a single ring die exceeds 1,500 hours, a 40% increase over existing products in the Vietnamese market. These dies can effectively meet Vietnam’s demand for the continuous pressing of high-hardness raw materials such as palm shells and sawdust.
Vietnam is accelerating its clean energy substitution policy and plans to increase its installed biomass power generation capacity to 3,000 megawatts by 2030. Chinese-made ring dies, with their superior wear resistance and stability, are becoming a preferred choice for local energy companies. A purchasing manager at a Hanoi energy company stated, “The excellent performance of Chinese ring molds in palm shell pellet production has reduced our equipment downtime and maintenance by 30%.”
The exporting company has established a local technical service team to provide on-site installation guidance and regular maintenance. The company’s foreign trade director revealed, “We are developing a new generation of anti-corrosion coating technology tailored to Vietnam’s tropical climate. We are currently negotiating a second-phase order for over 100 units, and we expect exports to exceed 300 units this year.” Industry experts note that with the expansion of Vietnam’s renewable energy industry, Chinese ring mold manufacturers are expected to capture a larger share of the Southeast Asian market.
